Description

The most fun and creative event at the Châtel Bike Park is back for its third edition! The Tour des Niares combines challenging riding, brand-new lines, and an electric atmosphere.

The Tour des Niares is an open session bringing together 20 invited pro riders (from the European and international scenes) who have come to ride creative freeride mountain bike features, specially built for the occasion.
This event, which embodies the very essence of the freeride spirit, was conceived by the athlete Matéo Verdier. The goal is clear: to offer an open session where riders can push their limits and fully express their creativity on extraordinary features, without any competitive element.
A media team will be on hand to capture this unique energy and translate it into footage, which will then be shared on social media.

The last edition made quite a splash in the freeride world, with 3.5 million cumulative views across the 29 pieces of content produced during the event and generating overwhelmingly positive reactions in the comments.
It also caught the attention of Pinkbike (Europe’s largest specialized media outlet), which came on-site to produce several articles and recap videos.

This new edition will follow the same general format as the previous one; new modules will be built and the lineup of riders has been refreshed, but the concept and schedule will remain identical to last year’s.

Schedule:

• Friday, August 14 – Access on foot via Serpentine:

• Sunday, August 16 – Bike Park:

1:00 PM – 4:00 PM Ride Session Open to the Public
A session open to everyone on two of the easiest features, allowing everyone to experience the event’s atmosphere and try riding in a safe and friendly environment.

The features will not be open to the public, but Bike Park guests are welcome to come and enjoy the show. The features are located on the “Serpentine” trail.

Several riders have already confirmed their participation for this third edition, while the rest of the lineup will be announced shortly. One thing is certain: Matéo Verdier is, once again, committed to assembling a lineup worthy of the event:
